Hormone Studies

We use hormone studies largely to support women’s health issues including:

  • Menopause
  • Heavy cycles
  • Painful cycles
  • Irregular cycles
  • Premenstrual syndrome

They may also be useful diagnostic tools if you are struggling with fatigue, stress, insomnia, mood changes, weight gain or cravings.

We often use saliva tests rather than blood tests, since they measure levels of ‘free’ (non-protein-bound) hormones. DUTCH (Dried urine) testing is also a good way to measure the metabolites (breakdown products) of hormones and how your body is handling them.

Hormones by their very nature can have a huge impact on the body – as such, they are heavily regulated substances in Australia. We test to understand hormone levels and support the body’s own ability to regulate hormone pathways where possible.

Changes to your diet, or taking the right supplements for your personal situation, delivers positive results in many if not most cases.
