Our clinic uses injections or IV infusions (‘drips’) to supply large doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients directly into the blood stream. This bypasses the stomach and intestines, giving a higher concentration in the blood than is possible when taken orally.
For many people, having a nutritional consultation and following a balanced diet can restore nutrient deficiency, but there are cases where this is not effective. You may have a significant deficiency which requires more rapid treatment. A variety of disease processes may be causing poor absorption or increasing metabolic demand. Injectable nutrients can be appropriate to treat deficiencies that occur with inflammatory states, for example.
Before considering injectable nutrient therapy, we carefully review your medical history, medications, allergies, and test results. In some circumstances it is not an appropriate option.
If we do suggest injectable nutrient therapy for you, we tailor the therapy to you individually, based on your diagnosed medical needs. Nutrients may include Vitamin C; one or more of the B vitamins, magnesium, zinc and more. We also discuss other treatment options. These may be in addition to injectable nutrients, or an alternative.
We monitor your health via blood tests and clinical review, during and after your treatment.
Our clinic has been operating for over 14 years. In that time, we have seen positive outcomes for many patients, including those with nutrient deficiencies, chronic fatigue, neurological conditions, and the inflammation associated with auto-immune conditions. Response varies between individuals. Some experience benefits after a few doses, while others require a longer course.
