Timothy Hall is a medical doctor committed to an integrative medicine approach which supports the body’s natural capacity to heal.
After graduating with first-class honours from Adelaide University in 2006, he completed his internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He then became a clinical investigator, educating and protecting the safety of patients in early phase clinical trials.
Dr Hall saw patients struggling with conditions such as fatigue syndromes, mental health challenges and ongoing digestive issues. He became aware that even when taking multiple medications for decades, many saw no improvement in their health. He found himself driven by the desire to help these people.
‘While medication can and does relieve symptoms, I wanted to find out more about the underlying causes of these health problems. I wanted to understand the body’s biochemical pathways and metabolic processes – how they work in a healthy body and how toxins affect that. I wanted to use that knowledge to identify and address root causes; to support people in healing themselves. That was the start of my journey towards setting up Professional Integrative Medicine.’
Dr Hall has undertaken post-graduate training with the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM).
In 2011 he was elected to the Executive Board of ACNEM, and has acted as Secretary, Vice President, and in chairing various subcommittees.
He has studied with The Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and various other organisations
Timothy Hall has also acted as a Medical Advisor for the Australasian Institute of Medical Nutrition.
‘My goal is always to offer patient-centred, integrated care that leads to better health outcomes. I achieve that by understanding and following the principles of integrative medicine, with a focus on nutritional and environmental medicine.’
‘I present my patients with a range of therapeutic options, and I provide evidence to help them make informed decisions about their health. They are in control of their health, while I am there to educate, guide and advise them.
